JA China Job Shadow Day

The JA China Job Shadow Day is a fun and exciting way to give students the opportunity to experience the working world first hand. Middle and high school students across Shanghai and Beijing will choose a participating company to follow an employee for half a day to watch and observe a day in the life of a business person. The opportunity to shadow an employee gives students an up-close look at the business environment and how the skills they learn in school are put to use in the workplace.

Junior Achievement Volunteer Day

Junior Achievement Volunteer Day is an annual event. This is a half-day volunteer event taking place concurrently in Beijing and Shanghai. Professionals from various leading multinational companies in China teach concepts in economics to primary and high school students and career development workshops to university students.

JA China Leadership Forum - From Classroom to Boardroom

Working together with key business leaders in China, JA China has organized and implemented the JA Leadership Forum. On a yearly basis, two JA Leadership forums are held and the event brings key business leaders to the university to share their experiences and impart principle-centered values that are relevant to the corporate world.

JA China Migrant School Project

Junior Achievement China understands that disadvantaged kids need economics education too. We organize volunteers to go to migrant schools to teach JA programs, help them know more about the world and give them positive role models.

JA China Career Go! Workshop

Through team-based interactive activities, business volunteers share with students their personal experiences on career development, helping them practice and develop interpersonal skills, good resume writing and interviewing skills.

JA China MESE Workshop

Under business volunteers’ instruction, students will establish a virtual company based on software named Management and Economics Simulation Exercise (MESE). Student teams will compete against one another as they manufacture and market an imaginary product. Student will not only learn the basic economics theory, but they also learn to analyze financial statement.

JA China My Money Business Workshop

Through team-based interactive activities, business volunteers discuss with students about personal financial concepts. It will assist them in establishing good financial habits to carry over into their adult lives.

JA China Mock Interview

Before the event, university students will prepare their resumes according to 3-4 job descriptions provided by JA China. Business volunteers with recruiting experience will then randomly select 4-8 students on the spot and conduct an individual mock interview. After the interviews, the volunteers will comment on each student’s performance and share with students their personal experience on interviewing.
